Karfas: Karfas is 7 km south of the center of Chios Island and is among the most well-known beaches with the beautiful sand and beach games of Chios Island, and the place is very convenience for relaxing sun baths. Mavra Volia: Mavra Volia is a beach made by small black pebbles. There was a volcano eruption that occurred in Prehistoric Times which created one of the most magnificent place in the universe. Nagos: The Nagos region is five kilometers from Kardamyla. This gorgeous place is specialized with spring waters, sycamore trees and colorful and glass clear excellent beaches, those enchanting the view of the region. The name Nagos comes from the word naos* (Temple) and actually an ancient temple was uncovered during the excavations of 1921. Lithi: Lithi is located 23 kilometers from the town of Chios and a mere four kilometers north of the village Vessa. The village name may perhaps be derived from “Alithis limin,” meaning true haven, which was the name given to the site by old-time travelers. Lithi is the birthplace of Andreas Syngros, whose family house can still be seen. The sandy beach is captivating since it is engulfed within a peninsula that is surrounded by an evergreen landscape, hills and medieval watchtowers or “vigles.” The village is famous for its excellent fish, which is not surprising since the local population consists primarily of fishermen. Visitors may observe the methods utilized to repair nets alongside the large fishing boats anchored in Omalia which is Lithi’s beautiful, sandy beach located a short distance from the foot of the village. Elinta is in the west side of Chios, there are situated the most beautiful and pure beaches of the Island and among them the gulf of Elinta. It is quiet shelter protected from the winds. The sea with the clear deep blue waters and the sandy beach, is an amazing place for swim and sunbathing.
Lefkatia is a beach which lies 42 km southwest of Chios town. This truly one of the most beautiful beaches in Chios, and it’s quite organized beach with thick sand that reaches the shore. It’s definitely unspoiled paradise. The beach also a great inspiration for different water sports. The spot also has very good conditions for the children due to the shallow waters. It is surrounded by tall pines. Pines provide shade in the hot summer days and also protect from the strong winds. Most people get there from the close village of Volissos.
Megas Limnionas is a popular beach close to he beach resorts of Agia Ermioni and Karfas. It's located 15 km south of Chios Town The water is crystal, but some parts of the shore can be rocky though.
Daskalopetra:The beautiful long sand-pebbled beach of Daskalopetra is located 4 km north of Chios Town. Based on a local myth, the beach owns its name to a rock where the famous poet Homer used to sit with his students. Crystal clear waters are washing smooth the shore and give eyes an attractive scenery. Tasty local specialities and fresh fish can be tested in one of the many taverns.
